Adult Education Forums for Epiphany

The popular Sunday Forums for Adult Education will be returning during Epiphany! We’ll be continuing a few topics and talking about some new ones.  All classes start at 9 a.m. in the Loft. A full schedule is here.

Art and Architecture of the Early Church

(Sarah Liberatore, 1st Sundays)

Sarah will examine the history of Christian art tracing church architecture to its Roman roots while exploring the changing image of Jesus from young shepherd to Pantocrator or “ruler of all.”

Blessings as a form of Spiritual Practice. (Cathy Tibbetts, 2nd Sundays)

This will be a 2-part series with the first session looking at the history and use of blessings in the church; and the second will be on the art and craft of creating blessings as part of a personal spiritual practice.

Tolstoy and Christianity (Matt Rhodes, 3rd Sundays)

This series will explore how Christianity plays a role in literature and short stories. Come see how Tolstoy’s works connect to religion and spirituality.

Spiritual Journeys (Bob McCan, 4th Sundays)

Come learn about some of your fellow parishioners spiritual journeys. How have they come to this point in their lives as Christians? Who are some of the people who make up the Falls Church Episcopal?
