Outreach
“Be doers of the word and not hearers only.”
- James 1:22
Every Sunday we conclude our worship by praying, “And now, Father, send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord.” (Book of Common Prayer p. 366). Indeed, we mean it.
Our mission is to reach out, with worship as our foundation, to the community that surrounds our parish. Right here, in Northern Virginia, there are people who need us – people who need YOU. We seek to fulfill the mission of Christ – The blind see, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor (Matthew 11:5) – in short, we seek to make the lives of our neighbors better!
Through our ministry partnerships, we have touched the lives of hundreds of men and women in our neighborhoods and streets, and this is just the beginning. We need your help – come join us!
Falls Church Community Service Council
The Falls Church Community Service Council, Inc. (FCS), established in 1969, is a coalition of churches and human service organizations in the greater Falls Church area.
The purpose of the FCS organization is to provide needed human services to poor and disadvantaged individuals and families in the Falls Church community. The assistance primarily is for short term and emergency needs with the overall mission of helping individuals and families achieve self sufficiency, an improved quality of life and avoid homelessness.
Through FCS we provide clothing, financial assistance, food assistance (including a food pantry, Meals on Wheels, and food vouchers), furniture, and transportation. If you or someone you know requires assistance, please contact a member of our clergy.

Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together believes in a safe and healthy home for every person. This means that we believe disabled and aging homeowners should be able to remain in their homes for as long as possible. They believe that homeowners displaced by natural disaster will get back into safe housing with help from the community, and that our nation’s veterans with disabilities deserve safe and accessible homes. Rebuilding Together believes that we can preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities by providing free home modifications and repairs, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient.
Each year TFCE volunteers to help rebuild the home of one of our neighbors, enhancing their quality of life and encouraging our community to further respond to our neighbors in need.
