Seeking Interim Organist/Music Minister
Seeking energetic musician as interim organist/music minister for open, welcoming and growing Episcopal parish in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities include serving as organist and choir director, programming appropriate hymns, anthems, service and incidental music for Sunday and special services. Candidates should be knowledgeable about traditional and contemporary liturgical music worship. This is a regular part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week. Compensation and benefits package commensurate with education and experience. The choir welcomes adult singers of any musical ability. High school students are also welcome. The choir leads the congregation in the service music and hymns during the Holy Eucharist, Rite II service each Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
Music during the Offertory is usually provided by the choir or Interim Music Minister, but instrumental and vocal soloists and small ensembles are welcome to perform in coordination with the Interim Music Minister, Kate Anderson.
